With the advent of social networks like linkedin, facebook, twitter, etc and the hype surrounding utilities like Google Wave, you have to wonder if traditional digital media is undergoing an evolution or being put to rest in favor of a new player. One to one or one to many communications is migrating to thoughts / ideas ruled by communities. Ideas now have the ability to experience organic growth by the individual planting the seed and letting the community blossom the single idea into a tree with branches of thought spawning new conversation. 

Access to information is goes beyond the search engine into the ability to tap in to a collective consciousness and leverage the experiences and knowledge of the many to find answers or simply explore new paths.
