Setting the stage.

Portability is definitely the friend of the business road warrior. From the Techo-geek to the mobile sales force, the technology keeps getting better and better. I can’t remember the day when I was not able to access my email in real-time from anywhere I happen to be traveling. Iphones, netbooks, flash drives, web enable SAAS everything, VOIP has made the traditional office a thing of the past. You have to wonder if business in the near future will forget the brick and mortar an opt for a workforce that is completely geo-independent.  Over the next few days, I plan to take some time to explore the road warrior tools of the trade, make some personal observations, and ask for feedback from those that live the lifestyle. Even writing this quick blog entry form my Iphone while waiting to pick up my daughter from school in the bus line is pretty damn cool when you think about it.
